A Young Jane Austen...Read Her Own Handwritten Notebooks
For the bicentennial of Jane Austen's death in 1817, the British Museum is hosting a special display of several of Jane Austen's earl hand written notebooks, and I just had to share them.
The notebooks date between the ages of 11 and 17, and are fascinating. The illustrations are by Jane's favourite sister Cassandra, and are thought to be drawn from family members.
