Sascha Brastoff Mushroom Copper Bowl

This is SOOOO mid century retro!!! I just got this out of storage where it has been for several years since we closed our actual antique shop in California, Time Was to go exclusively online.

Sascha Brastoff was an iconic and seminal California designer and artist working predominantly 1953-1973. And this is so Sascha B. The enameled copper pedestal bowl has hand painted mushrooms in gold and is artist signed. It is so Cool!!! In the 70s I had mushrooms all over my apartment. I found this in the 1990s at an estate sale and had to have it!!!!! The bowl measures 4.5 inches high by 6.5 inches in diameter. A great decorative focal point size.

You can see it more closely and with more photos at Time Was Antiques .

The waether is gorgeous again and will be mid 70s, which is near perfect. We are heading to the victorian sea port town of Port Townsend, WA...about 40 miles away for a day out. We'll check out the antique shops, walk the main streets, have a seaside lunch and enjoy the sun and sea breeze...one of our favorite things to do!
